The problem with this society.

The problem with this society is that everyone is trained to think the exact same way. This fault is to be placed on the LDS church. The amount of brainwashing that happens growing up in the churgh is wrong. Everyone is trained to think and believe the same things. How can anyone grown and change as individuals if everyone is being trained to think the same way? The judgement that happens in this society is wrong. The gossip that goes on in this society is wrong. I grew up mormon and had a horrible experience with the church and realized that I can think for myself and I don't have to aimlessly follow. I have the ability and freedom to search for truth in this universe. I am not going to pass judgement on others I am not going to deny friendship to those that grew up differently than me. I am now not mormon but that does not mean that I do not believe in God. The other problem with this society is that people think that i you are not mormon you must not believe in God, you must be a "bad person". I know I sound a little bitter but I have to say that I do not dislike mormoms. For some mormomism makes them happy and we are all searching for happiness so if that is what gives it to you than I am happy for you. But for me the church brought me nothing but confusion and hurt. So I just believe that those mormons that deny friendship or relations to people that are not mormon should create an open mind. You look ignorant and brainwashed when you cannot think for yourself.

My passion for traveling and my need to get out of here.

Last May I had the most amazing experience while traveling all over Europe. I learned a lot about myself and even as time goes on since my study abroad I am still learning so much about myself because of that experience. While in Europe we went to England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece and Turkey. I have also been to some other places including Thailand which I absolutely fell in love with and I can't wait to go back. I realized while I was in Europe that the world is vast and there are so many people on this planet and that I have so much to learn before I die. I have always loved and had an emense passion for traveling. I want to see the world and I want to live in different cultures and experience very different ways of life. The world is so big and it seems so wrong to stay in one place your whole life. It seems wrong to deny the opportunity to learn about the ways of the rest of the world. I have an issue with Utah, I am dying to leave this state. To be honest I actually love Utah itself. I think it is beautiful and I love the seasons and everything Utah has to offer, but it is my time to go. So, I am patiently waiting until this very hard semester is over and then I am leaving to experience something completely different.

Governor Palin

Governor Palin, is I believe, a strong, confident and very capable woman and worthy of the position for vice president. This doesn't mean that I am going to vote republican or I don't know if I am going to vote democrat. I don't love either of the candidates but I am very fascinated by Governor Palin. She does actually act rather than just talk about taking an action for the good of the US and she is so determined. Her public speaking skills are out of this world and she is so refreshing to the world of politics. Yes, she is young and yes she has only been governor for less than two years but I think that she is capable to be vice president and if Mccain crooks because he is 72 I think that she will prepare herself properly to take the role as the President of the USA. I am not saying that she will be the best President, before I make that claim I need to learn more about her and have concrete facts but I like her. I think she is great, I am sick of old men lying and fighting over who gets to run our country. She is a normal American woman that has lived the normal American life and I think that we need someone in office who understands what it is like to be a normal American.
